I love things. Clothes, Cds, Books, Movies, anything tangible that can entertain me really. I dream of a life where I can have all of these things. It's hard to not sound like a greedy, capitalist westerner, but that's kind of what I am. I love words, thoughts, ideas, new ways of thinking. And unfortunately, humans have found a way to place a price on those things. So in order to fulfill my constant yearning for mental stimulation ( hopefully that doesn't sound weird and/or pretentious), I need lots of money. I also really want to be able to fund research. Artificial photosynthesis, Carbon dioxide sequestration, GMOs, are all really cool things that need to be researched further to figure how they affect humans and the environment. Like it's super cool that we can mess up organisms DNA and give them traits of other organisms and take Carbon Dioxide and store it in the ground, but how beneficial is it humans? They don't have enough (or want to give enough) money to further investigate these things and allow science and our scope of knowledge to grow. And I would love to be able to fund eco-friendly forms of fuel and sustainability initiatives because really smart have ideas of how humans can continue their lavish way of life without (completely) destroying the environment, but they don't have enough money to thoroughly research or implement these ideas. And since I'm a private citizen, big business couldn't interfere with them getting this funding. I hope this all makes sense because I have really bad headache.
