I think most things we've done in class have been effective. The essay grading was nice, not so much in knowing what to do, but what not to do. For that, I think if some time was dedicated to learning how to write an effective body paragraph each week or month would really help some of the struggling students. But at the same time, it's up to the student to want to improve in their writing. Also, if there was a time writing once every two weeks instead of once a month, but only one was for grade, I feel that would really help some of the students. Also for multiple choice, identify the major types of questions and let the students choose what to focus on, that may be helpful as well. I was already comfortable with English coming into the year, and everything I learned enhanced my knowledge, and I honestly grasped for straws with things you could improve on.
