Post 25 Mason Saunders

Junior year is, as the prompt suggested, full of stress. I most particularly felt this stress over this past weekend as my car broke down and I came to the realization that I have less then a week of being a junior in high school. Between attempting to create something that resembles a PSA, and scrambling to finish a yabla assignment that unbeknownst to me was due two weeks ago, I managed to find some inner peace knowing that all this stress was very close to being over and soon senior year would be here. In terms of my stress relieving activities, the tend to center around physical exercise and playing with my dog. Take for example, last night. I found myself incredibly stressed that my car was essentially shot and that I could potentially be stuck at home in the malicious clutches of my parents. I couldn't focus with all of that weighing on me so I took a break and started running. I ran until I couldn't stop and found myself alone on an unlit country rode staring past fields of fireflies at a just finished setting sun. It was very quiet and incredibly peaceful and definitely something that took the edge off my nerves. Anyways, I would 10/10 recommend taking a run like that if you ever get stressed, just park your car near the intersection of Armstrong Mill and Delong Road if you don't live close and just run as far as you can, it's immensely calming.
