  • Has technology ever inconvenienced you or hurt you? Maybe technology got in your way, slowed you down or even literally hurt you? Have you seen technology have a negative impact on society?
iPhone, Macs, iPads, iPods, iEverythings are wonderful and all until you take a look at lack of real world experiences all of us have now. The number of times I have decided to watch Netflix or lay in bed truly doing nothing but staring at my phone instead of going to breakfast, having a conversation or going for a run is a number I really don't want to know. Technology has come into society in the last decade and designated itself a spot as the most prevalent thing in most people's lives.
How often are you willing to leave your house or even the room without your phone? Most likely the answer is almost never, and that right there shows the negative impact on our society. We rely on technology for most everything we do and often resort to technology the millisecond we think we may be unsure. Our lives revolve around technology which I could not find myself saying isn't a negative thing.
With all the negative impacts of it, I do still like, and want, technology in our lives, but find we over rely on it to be constantly connected with people not currently having a direct impact on our lives. As my mom and dad are currently half way across the world in Scotland, never do I fail to have to have at least 3 texting conversations with them a day, over things I really don't think all of us need to bury our heads in our phones for. Basically, technology itself isn't bad, but the huge presence we allow it to take in our lives is something we should look at and fix.
