Assignment 23 Rick Marino

As I sifted through the myriad of playlistable topics, I found it extremely difficult to single out a focus area. Then it dawned on me, a playlist for doing what I'm doing right now....creating. Here is a playlist for evoking imagination and creativity.

1. "Triumph" by Wu-Tang Clan- This hyped track delivers one of the most fire rap verses in all of hip-hop history: " I bomb atomically, Socrates' philosophies
And hypotheses can't define how I be droppin' these
Mockeries, lyrically perform armed robbery
Flee with the lottery, possibly they spotted me
Battle-scarred shogun, explosion when my pen hits
Tremendous"

The epic posse that is Wu-tang brings the raw energy that gives the brain the stimulation needed to unleash the waters of creativity

2.  "Express Yourself" by N.W.A.-  This rap gang reminds the listener to refrain from "being a sequel." It encourages original thought and novel ideas. It urges the masses to stray from the beaten path. This concept is of utmost importance in the creative process

3. "I am the Walrus" by The Beatles
4. "Purple Haze" by Jimi Hendrix
These two tracks provide the meat of the playlist. The psychedelic songs inspire to think outside the box. They promote an unorthodox method of contemplation, a major key to imagination

5. "Imagine" by John Lennon- This track brings the creative process to a soothing halt. Through this song, final thoughts are gathered into a singularity. The beautiful melody cools down the high power brain activity involved in creating.
