This takes place with my first memorable childhood friendship with the neighborhood kids.We were the only family they really knew on our street, so logically they entrusted us with a few simple tasks when they vacationed. Feed the dog and the guinea pig twice a day, get the mail every day, water the plants every other. My parents basically bribed my brother and I to take turns entering our neighbor's house and completing our "jobs". Mid-week was when
it happened. In the morning, I went to feed the animals per-usual, but instead of finding the dog in the room designated his living quarter(which was gated off from the rest of the house), I found him in the kitchen. On the floor. Next to the guinea-pig-less guinea pig cage. While the guinea pig was never found, we all could assume how he met his fate. So here's a playlist I wish I had possessed when I was 9 and was partially responsible for the death of my neighbor's guinea pig.
1. (Don't Fear) The Reaper // Blue Oyster Cult- All death is inevitable, even your pet store rodent's. This pick is aimed at coming to terms with the death of your beloved rodent-beast-thing.
2. Disco Inferno // The Trammps- This is in the case that the body turns up and they wish to have it cremated. Burn (peacefully) baby burn.
3. Stayin Alive // The Bee Gees- Because what helps piece back together crushed childhood dreams like cynicalness and sarcasm?
4. Jumper // Third Eye Blind- This song accompanies the image of the guinea pig cage on the kitchen counter just moments before being thrown to the floor via dog.
5. Who Let the Dogs Out // Baha Men- ha. ha. ha. oops.x
ha! don't fear the reaper - perfect
