Of course when I read "fictional characters" my first thought was to go through the whole slew of the Harry Potter gang in my head. But upon further inspection I realized I would never want to be any of them. They all have to do things. So of course my next thought was immediate:

CLIFFORD THE BIG RED DOG.

There's absolutely no reason not to want to be Clifford. None. He has cool friends, a great owner, and he lives on, like, some cool island. He looks so cuddly and sweet too, everyone loves him! Plus, he has a giant dog house. It's like a dog mansion. His best friend is a purple poodle, and his collar is all the rage in doggy fashion. He's got very few responsibilities, and as a cartoon, can dry off after getting wet in like 10 seconds. Also, he's a giant red dog. You could never be cooler than Clifford.
