Assignment 20 -Will Shapiro

Something I don't really ever talk about is my kind of side job/hobby/growing interest in computer building. Starting around January of 2015 I got into building computers and since then that interest has grown into more of a passion. I'm almost constantly building a computer for someone else or just changing out the components in my own system and have actually made a good bit of money out of the whole thing from doing several builds for other people along with participating in active selling markets like eBay buying and reselling part for profit. So as a whole, computer building and the atmosphere around it is something I am familiar with and would also say I am skilled at. The process to building a computer is actually not as hard as you might think. First it involves creating a list of components you want to put into a system. There are literally thousands of parts you can choose from for any price range so there is really no definitive way of going about the first step. Second, you have to source the parts. There are also many good websites for purchasing the hardware, my personal favorite being Newegg.com. Third, once they arrive you put it all in together,. This is another step that can be done in many ways because it all depends on what parts you bought and what kind out build you are trying to accomplish. In the end, I do all the cables last. This allows for the easiest and best cable management and makes sure they are not in the way for the first parts of the build. So there you have it, a very oversimplified step by step of my talent of building computers.
