how to - Rachel Roberts

HOW TO MAKE PASTA (one of the few foods I can actually make)

1. get a pot and fill it with water
2. put that pot on the stove and turn the stove on
3. add salt to the water (I'm not really sure why but that's what I saw someone on the Food Network do- something about boiling faster and the noodles cooking better maybe)
4. now add pasta to the pot. This is where you can get creative. My personal favorite is gluten free shells (which have some official Italian name that I would butcher)
5. let them boil, BUT DO NOT LET THEM BOIL OVER (that makes a mess and mess is bad)
6. keep stirring them so they don't stick to the bottom of the pot and keep them boiling
7. ever so often check and see if they are done (this means they aren't crunchy any more)
8. once they are done, take the pot off the stove and strain the water out into the sink using a strainer
9. put the noodles in a bowl and eat them
10. enjoy

There you go, a condescending and oversimplified way to make pasta.
