How Am I Supposed to be a Freakin' Pistachio - Emily Sandford

This piece of advice/wisdom came to me from Tates Creek Middle School's Youth Service Center Coordinator, or my old troop leader. When she stepped down as troop leader to spend more time with her children, we (the whole troop) were at the Wilderness at the Smokies. Being a Youth Service Center person she knows a lot about tons of different applications. Me being the shy little duck I am, I don't hold random conversations with people, let alone teachers. We were talking about applications and she looked straight at me and said,

"Be the Pistachio,"

Because pistachios have shells and the good stuffs on the inside. Well, I haven't exactly been a complete pistachio, but I'm getting there. Slowly but surely, everytime I see her she repeats :be the Pistachio" because she knows I haven't been one, but I have the potential.

My advice to you is be the pistachio you wish to see in the world.
