Beware of Ceiling Fans - Andrew Thompson (Assignment 10)

One of my greatest fears has to be getting decapitated by a low hanging ceiling fan. It is completely irrational, I know, but it still freaks me out. Thinking about it now, I even don't know if a normal ceiling fan has the kind of power to do any serious damage. I think it would just kind of hit me then stop because my noggin is in the way. Then I would just be like "ow." and carry on with my day. The only real damage would be done to my pride. I also think I would really have to try to get hit by a ceiling fan, since they are, you know, on the ceiling, and I don't spend much time up there.
Oh god, I just looked it up and you could totally get decapitated by a ceiling fan. Granted, it would have to be an industrial sized ceiling fan with metal blades and all, but it could happen nonetheless, and that's all I need to keep me up at night. So I guess I shouldn't really be all that fan above the stairs.
But that would be a really terrible way to die. People always say that they want to die quickly, but I think I would rather slowly. Slowly like getting an injury and dying a week later or something. That way I could make amends and things before I go. With an industrial ceiling fan, it would just hit you and you are gone. No chance to reconcile any situation or redeem any social conditions, and that is probably what scares me the most.
