Rick Marino #2

The fffuuuttuuurrre. I will take a gander into my illustrious crystal ball and speak of the great technology that lays ahead of us. In my ball, I see marvelous monumental movements, stunning spine-tingling shifts, potent ground-pounding progression. But really, these are just my tentative, teetering unsure theories. Humans hold a notorious reputation for erroneous predictions of technological development. Just take, for example, Back to the Future and 2001: A Space Odyssey. So, here is a list of my hypothesis:

Near Future:
- Self-driving cars (this is no surprise. Some self-driving functions are available on cars now)
- Holograms (like the chess board in Star Wars!) (Also not very surprising. Microsoft is developing a hologram system now.)
- Artificial intelligence will outgrow that of the humans(called the singularity), becoming the towering redwood tree of in the forest of species intelligence. In my opinion, artificial intelligence won't and never will be hostile, unless of course, someone as evil as Dr. Evil himself, programs them to act that way.

Far Future:
- Some kind of flying vehicle that is available to the public. This wouldn't be like a Jetsons cliché flying car. It would be self steering and it would somehow follow electromagnetic roads in the sky
- Computer Chips in the brain- Everybody has unlimited information at their fingertips with smartphones. In the future, everybody will have this information in their head, leading to Jimmy Neutron-like intelligence on a widespread scale.
- Once the earth is no longer inhabitable, the remnants of humanity will exist in space crafts until supplies deplete and our species ceases entirely. That is, of course, if we don't discover other potential homes.
