Rick Marino 6

Prompts
1. Tell a story in poetic fashion
2. Talk about your favorite movies
3. Talk about about your favorite music

Prompt 1:

Let me introduce myself
I will narrate the story of one little boy named Rick Marino,
His best friends used to steal mounds of cash from the local casino,
The kid correctly chose to move from his malevolent mates,
He got a steady job at a burger place cleaning plates,
One day it was getting late and the lad couldn't help but ponder his ominous fate,
If he didn't escape this bland work,
He could end up an expressionless dullard eating mush with a spork,
The youngster was like a bird in a cage, filled with ravenous rage and lacking adequate age,
All day, he sat and sat, and gazed and gazed, until he became like a donut that was glazed,
The only way to achieve glee would be to get free,
So he coolly confronted his bald boss and defiantly declared his leave of the jacked up job,
The boss threatened that he would call the mob,
But the kid didn't care and opened the door with the knob,
He ran from the devilish dump, his feet going "thump" "bump" "thump",
The airport was in sight, and Rick hopped onto the next flight,
As they flew and flew, dreams came of a place to find a brand new crew,
Where they were headed he did not know, but he was certain it would provide a wonderful show,
The pilot landed,
The kid's reaction could not have been more candid,
They were surrounded by African plains,
An area where it rarely rains,
He climbed down from the jet, and on the ground his feet were set,
He spotted a mighty tall giraffe, which had a big powerful calf, four to be true,
The giraffe spoke and said he could take the kid somewhere better than the zoo,
The giraffe sprouted wings and Rick soared on his back to place with no sorrow,
Mount Kilimanjaro.
