Assignment #13 - Daniel Kolpek
Two weeks ago, the Indianapolis Colts announced that their quarterback Andrew Luck would be out for two to six weeks to recover from a kidney laceration and partially torn abdominal muscle. With this being his second major injury of the season, the Colts and their coach Chuck Pagano decided that they will need to make a few additions to Luck's protective gear in order to keep him healthy and ready to play. Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton suggested that they wrap him in bubble wrap and remarked, "He just can't keep getting hurt like this. We need him this season and wrapping him in bubble wrap will be the perfect way to keep him protected." Coach Pagano also proposed having him wear a bullet proof vest under his current pads. "The vest would help protect his chest and ribs, which seem to be a very fragile area in his body" Pagano said afterwards. Whichever solution they choose, hopefully Luck will be well protected when he returns to games within the next few weeks, and will be able to lead the Colts to the playoffs.
