Assignment 10 - Claire Jicha

Ok, so weapon wise, I would be good at first, as my dad has various unnecessarily large saws and other tools in the garage. So the first order of business is getting a secure shelter and food. Barricade all windows and doors if possible, as in my case my house is fairly small and has many low windows so that is most likely not an option, so we must go out to find shelter. That is, assuming zombies are actually present and it's not just a paranoid panic like in World War Z where their aren't any actual zombies in the vicinity but people still barricaded themselves into their houses. Pack all necessary supplies (i.e., food, weapons, water, methods of communication) and a few sentimental possessions into as many cars as you/ your family/ your group can drive. Tricking your car out into a zombie killing machine is (unfortunately) not yet a priority, so avoid or run over zombies in your way. Make sure you have an idea of a safe place to go before you set out.

Once you are secure in a shelter, try to use a radio, or news channel if you have electricity, to gather information. Find if any governments or groups have long or short term solutions. Then you can decide if you will be able to go home soon or if you have to make your shelter more permanent for the long haul.
