Assignment 2 Mark Walsh
The future of technology is so often speculated in society. I mean, its human nature to try to predict what is going to happen. I'm not of the standard school of thought predicting self driving cars and true hover boards buzzing around in the near future, and I certainly don't see a Jetsons-esque future for humanity. I see the future of humanity as something more akin to the Elysium style class separation in technology. The future will not see the lower classes being outfitted with newer and better technologies, but a lack of money in the pockets of the common man will make these new and useful gadgets well out of reach. Over time, both the economic divide and the technological divide will widen, and the rich will further distance themselves from the poor, This desire for the rich to distance themselves from the poor, and looming environmental problems, will lead them develop better and more accessible space travel.
