Turkeyday - Emily Sandford

My thanks giving looks nothing like stock photos there are four of us seated around the table avoiding the two dogs under it. One of the dogs likes to lie down so her head is directly under my seat, which is very problematic. I love the holiday because spiral cut honey glazed ham is one of my favorite foods, and it’s the only time we eat it. Also, it gives an excuse for my family to get together (but we don’t need one).  One the most prominent memories is just laughing, I don’t even know what it’s about but at every Thanksgiving my family just laughs a lot, and that’s one of my favorite parts. Over the years we’ve laughed at a lot, like one year my Aunt said something about this person get getting injured in a motor vehicle accident, and my mom just goes “Mmoottoorrcycle?” in this odd high pitched voice, and everyone just kind’ve lost it because the whole thing was just out of the blue.
