Assignment 5 Mark Walsh

Television is a blessing and a curse. As I said in one of my previous posts, there is no such thing as a purely good or purely evil thing. Television is a blessing in that it is an efficient way to get information about the world.Television has created an infinitely more global world, and has even contributed to the downfall of the USSR. Television is a curse as well, because it has contributed to a dumbing down of society in a time that common man should be much more informed and much smarter than ever before. I watch very little television, as I find that there is very little entertaining programs on TV nowadays. Television programming is a very mixed bag to me, but I do find some quite funny and entertaining. Television, while entertaining is a waste of time, and is mainly useful as a cheap and easy way to get advertisements into the homes of consumers.
